These are the words Jesus asked a group of men who were His students (disciples/learners). These men didn't know everything about Jesus and at this time, they were doing what many are doing, learning. Learning is not bad, but our Lord do not anyone to be confused about this question. Times and civilizations have changed at His arrival and till this day He is changing the most important thing, "the heart". How can He radically change millions if not billions of people since 1 century? How can His followers (#1 persecuted group in the world), face death, imprisonment, torture etc. and not turn their backs on Him? How can gang members become pastors, prostitutes become faithful wives and mothers, drug addicts and every person in bondage in free? How can this 1 Man who was put to death in the 1st century have an effect like this? Simple, He is more than a Man. When He asked this question which you are seeking the answer. He didn't want anybody to be confused about it. Peter responded, "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God!" My friend, this is the only right response. How do we know these words to be true, because He raised from the dead! You can know the Savior today , change from trusting in yourself and surrender to Him. If you have done that, start reading the Gospel of John prayfully and declare your faith by getting baptized (Matt 28:19, Mark 16:14-16, Acts 2:38). We will be waiting on you here at WFCM.
